FILM INFORMATION
In the early seventies I was involved with Film Co-ops in Melbourne and Sydney, and made my first completed film in 1969. Although I had no formal training, I knew the handful of film makers in Melbourne in the sixties, and learnt the skills of cinematography and continuity while working on a series of art films produced by Eltham Films.
In 1980 I was a founding member of Reel Women, a collective and distribution group of women film makers. We imported international films, organised late night screenings, ran film making workshops and provided an editing facility in our office in Carlton. We also organised film festivals and collaborated with interstate film makers.
From the mid-eighties onward I was mainly focussed on visual arts.
During a survey exhibition of my work held at Monash University Gallery in 1995, Faces was screened and in the following year, I produced Faces 1976-1996.
During the period 1985 to the current time, I have been using video to accompany my visual arts work, and in the past three years have been working in digital video.
